I work with G-suite every day and I study for a UX bachelor on the side. One core element that Google seems to be ignoring with these icons is cognition.

The cognitive load using these icons is higher so it will take the user more time to use them and learn them. You are more insecure when you see them together and, as you say, people with disabilities might have a hard time picking the right one.

A company like Google must have an army of UX designers, so I’m really surprised this was allowed to happen…
