Linkedin is one of the biggest sites in business I know with the absolute highest dark pattern ux wise. It plays on psychology and is extremely shady with contacts etc. It is so bad that I don’t trust the site at all! I also remember when endorsement started. Good idea, but when people I have never worked with on a project endorsed me for skills they never saw me do (not that I didn’t have that skill) it lost all value and I never used these stats for anything when hiring. This article is also worrying. Algorithms tailoring content makes sure you are never presented both sides of a case and you are just fueling bias. Such a disappontment.
