To me, Medium was a platform I could use to share my knowledge. I could never imagine I would earn real money writing here. I just bought an iPad pro with keyboard and pen with some of my Medium money. As a bonus I have learned A LOT by writing more and more articles outside my niche.

I agree that you have to be flexible and play by Medium’s rules. I’m a bit sceptical about the new publishing tool where they allow more visual noise, but I will adapt to it and use its full potential.
